Hello friends! Hope you are in good health. Bringing for you my mother’s special recipe of Sabudana Khichdi in this post. This Sabudana khichdi recipe is one of the best dishes of Navratri Vrat.

Ingredients
- Sabudana (Sago)
- Peanuts
- Potatoes – Boiled
- Green chilli
- Jeera (Cumin)
- Desi ghee
- Sendha Namak (Rock Salt)
- Lemon juice
- Fresh Coriander (dhania) leaves
- Pomegranate (anar dana) – optional
How to make Special Sabudana Khichdi
- Take large sized Sabudana and wash with water for 3-4 times. After that soak them into water such that the water is just at level of the sabudana.
- Make sure not to soak sabudana into access water.Now cover it for around half an hour. Check if sago is soften post half an hour.
- Next take the soaked sago and drain away all the water from it with a sieve.
- Now roast the peanuts without skin and grind them roughly.
- Next step is to put the pan on stove and heat it, put desi ghee into the pan.
- Once ghee is heated,put green chilli and cumin into it. Add boiled potatoes pieces and stir well.Fry the potatoes lightly.
- Now add sendha namak (Rock salt) into it and also add sago alongwith roasted roughly grind peanuts. Mix all the ingredients well. Add some fried peanuts to the pan.
- Stir the khichdi on medium flame for around 5 minutes.
- Once the sago turns transparent,it means now the khichdi is ready.
- Put off the flame and now add lemon juice & chopped fresh coriander leaves. Mix well for a amazing flavor.
